Dr David Parkin

BAppSc (Dist), MBBS (Hons), FRACP

Dr David Parkin is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist treating patients at Warners Bay Private Hospital and other hospitals on the Central Coast.

 

Having graduated from the NSW Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Distinction) in 1984, Dr Parkin undertook medical and surgical training at the University of New South Wales, graduating in 1989.

 

Dr Parkin trained at Royal North Shore Hospital and Westmead Hospital in Sydney and received Fellowship to the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 1995.

 

He spent over a year at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton, England as Senior Medical Registrar & Locum Consultant and returned to the Central Coast in 1997 as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist.

 

Dr Parkin is a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Newcastle & is actively involved in student teaching & GP education.

 

Dr Parkin has a broad interest in the diagnosis and treatment of a range of disorders affecting the gastrointestinal tract, including Inflammatory Bowel Disease, disorders of the liver, biliary tree and pancreas.
