Dr Hughie Tsang is a comprehensive ophthalmic surgeon with subspecialties in paediatric ophthalmology. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO).
He completed his medical qualifications at the University of Queensland, his ophthalmic training at John Hunter Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital and his paediatric fellowship at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada.
He has a research degree on the prevention of myopia progression, has published widely and is actively involved with teaching ophthalmology in Sydney and internationally.
He is fluent in spoken and written Chinese. He is passionate about restoring sight and in particular helping children develop their full visual potential.
His regular surgical lists include Cataract, Pterygium, Glaucoma Surgery, Blepharoplasties, and Squint surgery.
He is experienced in looking after patients with cataract, glaucoma, pterygium, dry eyes, complex general ophthalmology including paediatric ophthalmology, and strabismus eye conditions.
He currently consults at the Sydney Children's Hospital, Toronto, Maroubra, Miranda and Annandale. He operates at Sydney Children's Hospital and Warners Bay Private Hospital.
