Dr Rebecca Beiers

Dr. Rebecca Beiers completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle in 1996 and also completed a research degree - Bachelor of Medical Science First Class Honours in 1994.

Dr Beiers completed her Rehabilitation Medicine Advanced Training in the Hunter Area Health Service in 2003. Since the completion of training, Dr Beiers has provided inpatient and outpatient management in both the public and private sectors.
Dr Beiers has been a consultant at Warners Bay Private Hospital since 2012 and has been actively involved in program and service development resulting in the expansion from 22 inpatient beds to 29 inpatient beds along with an expansive day programs service. More recently she attained consultation visiting rights at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital. Dr Beiers has also worked as the Medical Director of Rehabilitation Services at Maitland Private Hospital since 2003.
Dr Beiers has a interests in degenerative neurological conditions, the elderly and post-surgical recovery.

Dr Beiers has been actively involved in introducing the Parkinson’s Disease intensive therapy outpatient program at Warners Bay Private Hospital, using the LSVT BIG and LSVT LOUD programs and also involved in the Multiple Sclerosis specific program, which aims to provide patients with enough training to help them cope at home on completion of the program.
Dr Beiers is actively involved in the RACP as an examiner for the College and participates in the College’s Continuing Professional Development Program.
